National Science Day 2012 was celebrated on 28th February with the 1979 AMCians' Silver Jubilee Awards for the Best Research Publications (in 2011) being presented.

Dr.Siva Nageswara Rao (presently House Surgeon) won a gold medal for his ICMR project done in the Pathology Dept - it was published in IJPM and studied a simple slide test for RBC aggregation in patients of acute MI and stroke.
Other medal winners - Dr.KPS Adinarayana (Anatomy) Dr.Bharati (Micro) Dr.P.Uma (Patho). Appreciation Certificates to Dr.Satyasri (Patho) & Dr.Usha Rani (Micro.).
